The Great Divide

The divisions of the universe started long before any of us were born or mankind was created. The Worm Satan decided that he was equal to the LORD God or greater. His narcissism was beyond anything mortals could imagine. Lucifer was a created being and yet thought himself above the Creator; the Holy Being who made Lucifer a bright shining angel of light. Lucifer reflected the light and glory of God, but he saw the beauty in himself and reckoned it as his own greatness and power, not the comeliness of God in him. Satan used his persuasiveness and radiance to woo other created angelic beings to follow him in rebellion to God. It divided the heavens and he was thrown down to be a prince of earth. He and his angels turned demons now claimed the things of the world.

Satan used lies and half truths to persuade the first man and woman to stray from an intimate relationship with the LORD. Ever since, Satan has endeavored to separate man from God. Wickedness and sin grew worse until God said it was enough. He had Noah build an ark to carry Noah and his family to safety while God washed the wickedness away to start over.

God made many attempts to draw mankind to Him, but Satan wheedled his way between and each time made the closeness only temporary. God softens men’s hearts and draws them close to Him in so many ways, but Satan insidiously steps in to divide people with race, sex, finances, religion and so many other things. These imagined offenses cause tremendous rifts.

When people are divided about the killing of the innocent, Lucifer has certainly done his job quite well. When Satan warps people’s idea of what is right and twisted it to have people believe that it’s evil. The Bible says that the Devil will use it to sow discontent and division. Satan has passed out distortions of what is good and tainted God’s Word, America’s freedoms and its liberty. Now these servants of Satan are trying to remove police and the military that provide safety and protection for the rest of America.

Satan uses division to destroy anything true, anything lovely, and anything pure. Only the Gospel of Christ can unite souls and hearts with His gift of salvation. There will be the final division where Satan draws his minions into an eternity of pain, torture, and fire in Hell, while the believers of Jesus Christ will live for eternity inside the pearly gates of heaven, free from tears and filled with peace and joy.
