Fascist-Book with Community Standards

“Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act is the legal backbone of the internet. The law was created almost 30 years ago to protect internet platforms from liability for many of the things third parties say or do on them.”

If this is the law that protects Facebook and Twitter from being sued, then why are they using the nebulous “Community Standard” to control what is being shared or posted? With this vague unverifiable measure in place they can declare anything as hate speech or posted as unfair and as a violation of that norm.

Facebook and Twitter has removed themselves from allowing the freedom of speech to move into a managed arena where their biased filtered views on politics, policies, laws, health, and morals quickly overtake and override this “public forum.” This platform of expression quickly becomes an extension of the owners and their staff members.

The U.S.S.R. controlled their empire through a tightly regulated media, allowing only one point of view to be propagated as Pravda, the Truth. It was one-sided and most often not the truth, coining the phrase many Russians used, “Truth, but is it true?”

The same is happening in America today with our media outlets as well. When a reporter stands in front of burning buildings or mobs of people looting and rioting in the background but is saying that this is a peaceful protest, it is an outright lie. It is an attempt to tell the viewer what to think, not reporting the facts and allowing the audience to form their own opinion of the story.

It never ceases to amaze me that surfing the different local stations in the different areas of the United States, these commentators are using the very same words to relay a story. They are no longer reporters sharing their own research, but mouthing the same script in a Polly-parrot type mantra. Often these pundits are uttering words without the least bit of understanding of the issues or meaning. Theses commentators are chosen for their screen worthiness: beauty, ease of reading script, ability and willingness to share the predetermined narrative.

More and more the owners of these conglomerate “news” organizations are leading the public into a government where they control where you may go, when you go, what you can do, what you can eat, and what you can think. Think now while you still can.
