Encouraged or Discouraged
When we around at the things that are happening in the world, we may see things that are discouraging in politics, criminal activity, and in finance. It seems too often the bad guys are winning. It seems evil is triumphing over what is good. In the end times certain signs that people should be aware of can be found in the Gospel of Mark. Jesus warns there will be those who come in His name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. People like Jim Jones and Sun Myung Moon who’ve said that they’re the Messiah. Also many tele-evangelists preach the religion of a false Christ. Jesus also warns that there shall be wars and rumors of war, which have recently been increasing. He points out that nation shall rise against nation. The Greek for nation is ethnos. If we look around, the media and politicians are constantly trying to divide America along lines of ethnicity. Television ads want to recognize a different culture each month. It is most divisive and not in an attempt to unify. Most recently roiling mobs more rampant and evil is being recognized as good. “Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight.” Isaiah 5:20,21
Jesus also says there will be kingdom against kingdom with earthquakes in diverse places. There shall be famines and troubles. They are signs of the beginnings of sorrow. Earthquakes, droughts, floods, tornadoes, and hurricanes seem to either be more frequent or more potent. It is God’s mercy that He shows the signs of the times. In the past, God has sent His prophets and has shown sign after sign to the Jewish Nation before He meted out His judgment. Is this what He is doing now?
In the end times nations will create situations that divert attention away from those signs and will claim that the leaders will be the answer. It’s an attempt to create panic and to form a one world government through the “Great Reset.” If governments can control your access to health, energy, food, and finances, every person will become slaves of the state. Electronic banking and electricity usage can be shut off in an instant if you are “using too much” or if the government doesn’t like you for any capricious reason. All of this can be discouraging IF they can keep your eyes focused on them.
But God encourages us by saying before the most trying times of the Tribulation, He will catch us away. He will remove us from the Earth away from His wrath. God wins. He’s our hope and salvation.
Jesus said, “And what I say unto you I say unto
all, Watch.” Mark 13:37
